Ruslana Verkhola
I hold a Higher Diploma and Master’s Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School, Practitioner’s Certificate in CBT from IICP and Practitioners Certificate in Emotion-Focussed couples therapy (IEFT).
I work within an integrative framework, drawing from trainings in several different theoretical approaches, all integrated through. These approaches take into account many views of human existence: Existential, Psychodynamic, Client centred, Family therapy, Gestalt therapy, Object relations theories, Psychoanalytic, Transactional Analysis and Hakomi. I also encourage self-study, creativity and self-expression.
The main focus of my work is on nourishment, acceptance and curiosity. I actively listen to the client’s experiences and help them to identify their patterns. I also encourage them to express their feelings ‘here and now and facilitate creation of a ‘safe place’ for change to happen. I facilitate clients in the developing of new strategies for coping and re evaluations of familiar ways.
I am fully accredited with Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (I.A.C.P.).
